it often happens that some questions asked never get answered, thought you were familiar with that

Hi Jozef and Ollie
Thanks for your replies, I wasn't being sarcastic, just thought nobody knew the answer as according to a couple of guys on 2CVGB forum this is a rare van only made for 6 months at the end of 2CV van production. I have one of these and was going to channel it and run my Judson supercharged visa engine but I think it is too rare to modify and will go back to my original idea of a channelled and supercharged Dyane
Cheers
Bob

if only the springs are big then chop it.
i downt see anything special on the body that makes it rare.
it's just a late 70's azu 250 ok it has safety belts Laughing
that's all.
mabe ask martijn on the dutch van forum if thats all.

Don't know about rarity, but what has happened between the bonnet and front screen? It must be terrible hot inside without the ventilation?

Hi Guys
Did you look at the chassis plate and engine plate?
The weight limits seem incredibly high for a 435cc van!!
Cheers

Bob,
did you notice this one on Ebay in the UK?

Having done some work on it a while back, have to admit that it was one of the sweetest vans I've ever driven.
It's on AK400 running gear, so I wonder if this one you're talking about has the same setup?

Ken

p.s. About a month's welding should see that French one somewhere near... Wink

Hi Ken
That looks a pretty nice van at a pretty nice price.
A 1988 250 with 602 engine, I thought production stopped in 1978?? Mine is late 1977 with 435 original engine
Cheers
Bob

I think I remember that Ebay van, seen it at Louis' when it was just done.

Anyway, a AYA2 engine is not always by definition a 435. I had a very early dyane engine for scrap the other day, which was 602 and had AYA2 sayin on the engine plate.

Hi Bart
It is definitely 435cc with its parallel heat exchangers.
It is the model derived from the AZU 250 grande administration.I believe this model was used mainly by the french La Poste(which mine is) and Sapers Pompiers
Cheers
