Hello

with such photos i´m in trouble when i´m in the forum at work. I can explain the naked forum banner girl, but there are a lot of reasons why this nazi shit is fuck and not allowed in Germany.
On other Topics (for example "Coll beetles" was a little discussion about fascism styled cars). I wish that in this Forum are people who don´t glorify
Fascism and 2nd WW stuff, other wise i think it´s time to say "Goodby Snailers"

Can't you replace the swastika with a pre-WWII iron cross?

or keep the swastika - the association in context is the problem so just subvert the nazi graphic design rip-off and replace the eagle with some other ancient hindu symbols - or not.
i wish i could see less people glorify the non-Fascist 2nd WW stuff - it "took two to tango", IMHO ... after reading Human Smoke by Nicholson Baker and half of The Unnecessary War by Pat Buchanan i suspect there was maybe just as much evil on the other side too

Of course, "things are never always as they seem". That said, the Nazis was evil reincarnated, but of course, they had a different view of it. As the case is still today with the worlds violences and holy wars and all that crap.

The bike looks great! The Nazi-symbols are hard too accept, and I would never drive it with those symbols on it, because they represent something I really find repulsive. Nevertheless, it makes the bike look really cool, in a historic way. It is a BMW, it is from Germany, it looks as if it could bee used in the world war 2, and with that in mind, it's cool.

If the picture was in Sepia or black'n white, and made too look from the 40's, it would look as if it was taken back in the war. The bike resting outside a tavern and a soldier was inside having a break. Probably not evil reincarnated, but just a regular dude like most of us doing what the government tells him to. Like most of us today.

There are really bad things happening in countries like Africa today! Just as bad as WWII, but people seems to find it easy not to talk about that so much.

I'll just shut up now Wink , but like the banner by the way. Didn't see the "chevron" symbol in it before it was mentioned.

Hey Guys, i didnt mean to cause offence to anyone and as Etienne has said "THEY ARE RUSSIAN BIKES".
I am very interested in the military vehicle scene and have owned a number of wartime vehicles from American Willy's Jeeps to 3 tonne French Army trucks, but for me i have ALWAYS been fasinated with the German vehicles of World War Two.

Like most people on this Forum i work for a living and have bills to pay so therefore CANNOT afford the stupid prices Genuine German Army WW2 vehicles seem to attract. Therefore when i saw the advert for this company who take the Ex- Russian Military Boxer engined bikes (dnepr) and build German REPLICA'S from them, i was very interested in buying one. My friend Richard has also bought one.

I cant wait to get my new bike and ride it along to a few shows.

It will NEVER have any NAZI markings on it and i want to make it very clear to EVERYONE, i have NO political views in that way WHATSOEVER.

As an Ex- vehicle mechanic of 24years i am ONLY interested in the Engineering and design and lets face it the design must have been good because the russians stole it from the germans and built this machine which is still going strong today Very Happy .

By owning this 'Replica' i hope to have many hours of fun out on the road riding it around and will also attend many Military Vehicle shows both in the U/K and in Europe which will give me many hours of fun and enjoyment.

I also have recently bought a Harley Davidson which i love to ride, but it does not mean that im going to wear a white bed sheet over my head and burn crosses on black peoples front gardens (KKK) Mad .

If you are in any doubt about anything you see on this Forum or any other, can i ask that you speak to the person first and find out 'why' before assuming they are a bad person.

As i said at the beginning "SORRY FOR ANY OFFENCE THESE IMAGES MAY HAVE CAUSED".

Cheers Tony.

I think the concept of the BMW motorcycle was not stolen by the Russians. It was part of the von Ribbentrop pact. See:

Its good that your hoppy is not chopper motorcycles or model kits example.
You would found out that internet is full of these symbols. I understand that
its not nice to show them, but they are pure history and you cant erase it by
not showing them. We cannot start cleaning internet of these symbols.
If this is reason to say goodbye for Snail, I'm sorry. But I cant help you.
Anyway is work place to surf in hoppy pages? Wink

Also its stupid to give gredits of this symbol to those Nzi's,
do not open this link at work

Here is Dnepr info for you.
Construction is already all different than that old BMW copied bike, it just looks a bit same.
I like these bikes, but as I said I think placing logos of other brand is quite lame. This blue
bike without logos added is way cool.

My Ural is running flathead which is still quite close copy of those WW2 time BMW engines,
