hey I'm not the biggest brain but...
whit MOT, insurance and stuff cutting your suspension arm is fucking illegal.
because I was talking whit bjorn about it so I was like WTF I want that to that’s cool man.
but because my car stands whit my dad an I'm needing his tools, workplace and shit I needed to ask him first.
and he is maybe an old wining pain in the ass, but he was there when they chanced the rules demonstrating whit his long hair.
so he knows that stuff and if you make an accident your incurrence is not gone pay for you
so do's anyone knows ways to do that and do I legal.
because I dont want to pay for Some body ells his wheelchair for the rest of my life |

If this modification is made well, it will never brake. If this modification is
made well, no one can say that its not original. But in case you dont know
what you are doing, dont do it. Everyone who has this modification made
drives in closed areas anyway (parking lots, racing tracks etc.)
To drive in streets with this modification you would probably need quite
a lot paper work done. I depence of every country what their law says
about modifying wheel arm. You need to check the rule book of you countrys
vehicle administration.

absolutely NOBODY would ever realise if the angle on the suspension arm is modified
not even 2cv specialists, I'm pretty sure of that.
Besides, as Olli said, it's just a question of welding things properly. The modification process and rebuild is in no way different to the way the arm was originally built in citroen factory, so... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

and I have a technical question if you cut the suspension arm and chance the angel do you take away meat from the bottom or ad meat at the top |

Hi Jan-Willem,
You can tell your dad that it is indeed illegal when you change the wheelbase of a car. But there is one big exception:
Some cars (including a Deuche) have a different wheelbase unloaded and on load.
You can show it to your dad: Take an empty Deuche and measure the wheelbase, then add weight to the car (to the maximum that is legally allowed, so 4 persons, filled petrol tank and luggage). Then measure the wheelbase again....
Even your dad will notice that there is a difference. When the law says 'it's OK' (and they do; hence the 'Typegoedkeuring') then it's OK....
Changing the geometry of the wheels; caster (that's what we are talking about), camber, toe-in/toe-out etc... is not forbidden in the Netherlands. _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge (Einstein) |
