Why do people take the fenders off the 2CV?! Without, the car looks like a tractor... Confused The only exception would be with the front axle moved a lot forward...

What's the link between how good looking it is and the fact that it is Tüv approved ?

TüV just means your car is street legal in Germany. If there was a TüV for coolness I can guarantee your car wouldn't have it

It is funny to read how many parrots react on the tractor thing...

But guys I had a quick look at this and one may argue about the looks, but the tractor comparison doesn't really make sence.
Tractors have high bonnets like Olli's hotrod picture and the position of the front wheels varies between the two positions shown.

Feel free to have a look at some examples here: http://images.google.de/images?ndsp=18&hl=de&um=1&q=traktor&revid=784846383&ei=yTjvSurkIMrV-QaQxd3wCw&sa=X&oi=revisions_inline&resnum=0&ct=broad-revision&cd=1&start=0

Padde's 2cv hasn't got the bonnet and yes the front wheels are in tractor position as on many hotrods...

2cv looks ****** without fenders, because bonnet comes too front. Thats why
I call them as Tractor rods. This is not visually best option. If I would not be
able to move front axle I would keep fenders in the car. Its true that 30's
cars has high bonnet as tractors, but it still does not change the fact that
2cv's nose is too long.

I'm not sure yet if it looks ugly or just different, but does anybody know if "tractor fenders" that move with steering and suspension are legal in Finland?
