My experience with my Dyane -3cm/a wheel was :
- no difference on the road
- turning radius a bit big in some very old french center town ( ) and in underground parking ! _________________ www.super2cv.com

I reach top speed on the speedometer in my 3 wheeler (160 km/h, which must be around 140 real km/h)

And you don't even show a picture of your "toy" as you said when you bought it...
You were so happy ! Remember, I took this pic of you last year in Swiss when you finally drive it back home...

When you narrow the front what happens to the driveshafts?
Do you have to narrow those also? _________________ Lowering the tone since 1983 |

Interesting point.
I know it's possible to mix driveshafts as there was a long inner/short outer and a short inner/long outer combinations. If you mixed them and had short/short they will drop apart when the wheel is fully down, and if you had long/long they would prevent the wheel from going fully up. (and probably bugger the diff?)
If you're running low, then I'd imagine you're unlikely to have problems using a mix of short outer and short inner, espescially if you have narrowed the front axle, although i guess you make sure the front arm runs through its full movement with no problems beforehand, if it doesn't, then I can't see why you can't simply take a couple of cm off the splined end of the outer shaft?
Again, only guessing here, as I've never tried it. _________________

On my ex-Dyane I just took off 3 cm of the male part of the driveshaft. _________________ www.super2cv.com
