Hey Malte, thanks for the kind words mate Very Happy .
"Screw the front down", i guess you mean drop the front suspension a little???
At the moment i cant do that because the threads are seized up and need freeing off.
The owner of the car is going to have a go at lowering it a little when he gets it back to his home by heating up the rods Wink Cool

Im pleased with how its turned out tho' Very Happy .

Tony,
maybe best if you could persuade him not to use that approach, since more often than not the result will be that they're stuck even tighter. Shocked

'Backing' the necked section of the tie rod end/shackle with a lump hammer, whilst hitting it on the other side with a hammer usually works. It shocks any rust free in the threads and expands the outer just enough to start things moving.

I'd agree that it needs lowering at the front, since once the car is loaded up with passengers, camping gear and so on, that will lift the front end even higher... Wink

Ken.

happend here also.

You can better heat it first and then cool it down with WD40 or so. After cooling down try to make it turn.

Shocking the rod end with a hammer to loosen the rust is a good idea before applying any heat Cool

I agree, on my car it worked fine.
The rod were damned frozen. Few light shocked with a hammer and it was done...

Heating can be dangerous cause of the fuel line.

Tony, I wish to congratulate you on a job well done. It's not so much Kustom but it looks like a factory prototype.

If you make this much progress with each car you do, I can't wait to see the next one.
