No not at all Jozef, i could not put the handle any lower due to the internal frame work of the door.
I agree tho it might have looked better under the moulding but hey, in life, shit happens _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Cut down the hood today and fitted it.
Added a couple of tabs onto the original rear fixing so that i can secure it better to the roof
It fits nice and tight accross the back with no chance of it leaking.
Also fits nice and tight accross the top which will stop water sitting in the middle like a lake
More painting tommorow and driveshaft gaiters to fit _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Cheers Mate. I wet flatted the paintwork today and then gave it its first of three thinned down coats of paint. It has covered very well indeed.
Ive now painted the headlamps shells as the chrome was crap and it looks even older now with them also in grey.
Glad you like it guys _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Hi Tony, like the grey look, thank god it's not that orange!!!
Need a bit of help from you ref SCAR....
I can't find the MOT so I have taken it for a pre MOT inspection at the place that looks after all my welding and stuff I have not got the skill to do..
They are not sure if it will pass because the mud gards are so near the tops of the tyres. Did you have any problems with this?
Thanks, Gary.
P.S. SCAR will be rasing money next Saturday for charity. It's at a local classic car show in my village and they asked me to bring one of my 2cv's. Well you can't get more classic than SCAR !! |

Gary, re the mudguards, ive had no issues ever with the them from my mot station. The vehicle was inspected by VOSA as you know and they didnt have any issues either so might be worth mentioning that to them when you book it in for its MOT. The mudguards have never touched the tyres even when hitting pot holes and they go up and down with the suspension so i cant really see the problem. You should have the papers from VOSA/DVLA with the pile of receipts that i gave you
After all its VOSA that employ them
Hope this helps mate?? _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Thanks Tony, thats what I thought. Guess the guys are just used to euro boxes and not a hand made car. I will take it to the MOT station with the paper work as you said. Thanks again, Gary. |
