Hello,
I'm Philippe,my new ride is a Acadiane. I named it "Valentine" because I'm sign maker and Valentine is a paint brand. Valentine will be modified as a ex factory car with lettering with kustom touch. Some pictures of my research, the result will be a mix.

Hello and welcome in this forum Flatwin

Nice drawings you did; the one I prefered is the "Vondutch"... Have started to work on the car yet? would be nice to see some pictures...

I think it would be better to simplify your ideas, they look quite anxious.
Those sketches makes me think about old Gauloises 2cvs.. They are quite "retro" too... Neutral

Of course,I have to simplify my ideas, for the moment I notice all the possibilities. The "Gauloises look" Laughing is to show the first life and use of the car,it must rest some parts of a labor ( but changing Golf,Texeco,Bennzoil,Michemin,or other celebrity brand ) May be it's a hard or wrong way ?
PS: I'm not so good for explain correctly in english Neutral

Stick with one colour scheme for the whole car. Start with picking two or three colours that go well together, then design a logo or brand name and apply this theme to the whole car.

If you want to show off your sign painting skills, do it on one panel on the side, like the door or the side of the cargo area. Keep the rest of the car in the basic colour scheme. Designing paint for a car is not about filling each available space with something but keeping a balance between "empty" areas and areas filled with letters or flames or whatever.

I would not make a distinction between front and rear and please, please don't make any 2CV word jokes like Von Deuche. It looks really stupid (just my opinion).
