In states they call it Station Wagon. I dont think they ever made 1940 Mercury STW's. Ford which looks a bit same, I think they only made woody STW's.

Pat Ganahl is a well known hot rod journalist, he worked for Hot Rod Magazine, and is a major contributor of The Rodder's Journal. He used the Joe Nitti roadster as inspiration for his own roadster:
