i need 4 of those brackets which hold my brand-new anti-roll bar ! :)

perhaps someone has got those brackets left or knows where to get them.

i'm not sure what kind of steel they are made of, i don't know if self-made ones would be stron enough...

thanks :)

I bet they are not made out of very special steel. My friend made his pieces
out of normal metal with out problems. "2cv's" Anti-roll bar is quite soft after all.

ok..hmm..perhaps it's special "sping-steel" or something ?!
the one's i got look a little bit shiny on some areas..that made me thinking about that problem...

i'm a little bit scared that my self-made ones will break ...
would be uncool in fast turn's or something..

Malte,

You can find the brackets on a Ami super.
It's standard on that one.

We've made the plates by our self and it still holds.
You need to weld 2 pieces of steel on your plate and make the tread in it.

But I suggest to you to find someone who lives close to you so you can see it by your self.

I'll try to make a photo of the one on our green pick up.

Do you mean that you need only the brackets or the plates with the brackets are mounted to?

Oh, on an AMI Super, of course... how easy is it to find one of them ?

Laughing (and AMI Super front bar is 16mm, so the front rings don't fit Wink )

Malte wants the rings that fix the bars onto the axle plates.

I'm sure they can be made with thick tube at the right diam. and thick steel plate.

i ordered the parts at le-patron.
18€ shipping included to germany.

they are a little bigger (1mm diameter), but anyway, they fit.

it's a lot of more fun to drive my car now! very racy :)

but there are two questions left:

is it normal that the bar is really close to one screw at the gearbox?
( i think it is the one to fix the speedo-cable?)

my steering gear is a lot of more stressed now, isn't it?

and there is a third questen :) has anyone driven a 2cv with an anti roll bar at the back?

hi

VERY cool to know that he sells them seperately.

have you adjusted the bar close enough to the axle ?

you should put a 6mm allen key between the bar and the arms and then tighten it.

Wink
