i made some pictures this weekend.

it is better to cut a little bit more to the left, then it is easier to separate the parts

alining the wheel

i narrowd this arm 6 cm and i can rotate the steering wheel to the right and left without hitting the fender (ok i did remove the inner part of te fender a bit) Wink

I thought that with -6 you would have had to do more important mods than that... but I guess that 13 inch wheels help a lot to keep a decent turning capacity...

well even with 15 inch wheels (like the pictures) it isn't that bad with turning capacity. only there is no space between the top of the wheel end the fender. maybe with smart tires you have 2 cm?? more clearance but then you need very stif suspension.

Hi Olli
Surely those tyres only have a speed rating of 50mph or 80kph very dangerous on a car capable of around 160kph!!!

Ofcourse they are.. Everyone can read it from the side of tire.
I kind a recommend them as a "meeting tyres".. But even if
tyre would explose on speed, this car would not drop high Wink
Those limits on side of tire are very safety limits ofcourse, if
it says 80km/h on side of tire, factory sure made it to least in
100km/h (or even more). Second thing is that they are made for
twice as heavy cars. Ofcourse I dont recomend anyone to use
these tyres on daily highway driving or actually anywhere Laughing

This modification makes the car look really good indeed, but what does it do to the driving characteristics? You would think a narrower front would make the car more manouvrable at low speeds but less controllable at higher speeds.

This modification is from the VW scene of course.

It is only done to help turning capacity by reducing tyre rub on the wheel arches...

So, what it does to handling is just something you have to put up with
