I'd really like to have an early pattern steel steering wheel on my '84 Special. I know the fitting is very different but I'm sure it's possible to modify the steering wheel to incorporate the later boss.
Anybody got one? Preferably in the UK. Alternatively, maybe somebody could saw the column off one and post it from abroad. Can be rusty, not a problem (better in fact!).
Cheers.

Thanks Jan but I can only find a single spoke one on euroretro, like a Dyane wheel.
This is the one I want. There are two on eBay France at the moment but French eBayers seem reluctant to post abroad for some reason.

Hi Jan,
Thanks for your trouble hunting that down for me. Only problem is that
it's too expensive for me. I just want a rusty old one that I can cut up &
fit a later mounting boss into.

Brooky,
this was posted on 2CV-L today.
"hi.
i have placed on Ebay UK recently a ripple bonnet and several other
old 'A' model items.
Check out item number: 120368038003.
More parts to come including 60's Steering Wheels,
Trafficlutches, Clutch, Pedal box with pedals etc. Some of these items
are new old stock.
Having a clear out to focus on the '80s 2cv's i have, too much clutter
means jobs do not get done!
regards
Paul"
Maybe worth having keeping an eye on this, at least postage should be cheaper than from la belle France...

Thanks everybody.
I've sent him a message via eBay questions so, fingers crossed!
Thanks again.
