Last weekend I put the two into one performance manifold extender from ECAS in my 2cv, but now it produces too much noise.
Anyone ideas how to reduce this noise?

this one is for your sound perfomance :)

try to put some absorber-stuff in your second silencer.

"dämmwolle"

you can buy that stuff ( don't know the correct word ) at a lot of motorbike-shops.

if you don't like your exhaust you can send it so me :)

what you will do to reduce noise will probably remove the little performance improvement you might have when using this type of exhaust

Cheers! to remind you... this thing works http://snail.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=652 Wink

It is the street version of a exhaust which is used by many 2cv racers in the UK. At present we are thinking about and working on the secondairy part, so swanneck + silencer to quiet it down and give it a bit more performance.
On the race cars they use mini cooper rc40 silencers with this type of exhaust and that demper adds some performance over a original 2cv second silencer.

I know...

I just have doubts that the rest of the "noisy car" engine is fine tuned to match this exhaust manifold potential...

but maybe I'm wrong...

This is my new custom made rear muffler. It's made from two standard Bosal mufflers.
The total length is the same as a standard 2cv rear muffler.
