The acadiane was excellent. I remember hearing it and trying to work out what the noise was and then saw the engine in the back and the hole in the floor... |

topsnelheid zelf gereden langs porsche was 165km/h
400m in 17 sec

Ow no, the crazy belgian starts talking belgian. I'll translate.
Some details on the Acadiane:
Top speed driven next to a Porsche was 165km/h
400m in 17 sec.
The engine was a 125hp Yamaha YZF 750R but because of the low torque and the heavy weight of the car, the acceleration wasn't as good as expected. 12.500 rmp was nice though and fun to go to Scotland this way. It was also pretty exciting because the conversion was illegal and I had only test driven it for about 30km before going to Scotland.
Hint: if you want to do a similar conversion, use an engine with plenty of torque and try to make the car as light as possible. |

Iam sorry i forgot to talk in English
For the next worldmeeting i am building a channeled rat look 2CV with airide mounted on the side of the chassis in the original spring place i am going to build it and it will work because some people think it isnt possible because of the high spring rate of the 2CV ,but i am going to change the connections to the front swing arms and i will place 100mm aircilinders .
I will test fit it this week and i will load the chassis with weight and then test its working ,when it is finished i will post some pictures ;
I already built airride for a AUDI A4 and a Mercedes S-class W140 ,these were both home built . here are pics of the merc
I am also searching for some pictures of my channeled blue 2CV mounted with 17 inch wheels with 245 tyres in the rear and 225 in front and without fenders and extremely low so i can post them on this page |
