I start this topic cos I found this old pic of my fathers GSA.

I remember that I fixed and painted these wheels years ago
when I was small, to get some money for ice cream. Very Happy

Wheels were special cos I thin they were whit aluminium center and
metal out rim.

Some word about this GSA, It was whit most accesories of all GSA which
came to finland; open roof, (fake) leather interior, these special wheels. etc..
My father sold it to some Citroen "collector". Hope its still alive.

Another really special wheels I met in France last summer.
They were also this funky "metal-aluminium co-operation"

Arf, shame about having to drill the spokes to fit the 2cv PCD... Neutral

Didn't see that on the photo taken from a distance...

I think we should all ask geoff to make a 4 stud conversion at his engineering shop so we all have the choice. Lots of the Belgian 2cv cup cars have 4 stud wheels now.
i have done it but is a reasonable amount of work.
Unless someone knows if there is a conversion already available

Hi Pete

You are talking about machining original hubs and drums to accomodate 4 studs aren't you ? not making bolt on adapters ?

The second option does exist I believe... but the first option would be much much better....

Cheers

IMO 'Banded' widened standard 2cv rims look the best, about an inch deeper dish that standard. Id love a set for my Ami6 but they wont fit under rear arches, maybe for my 2cv though....

Hey Shed

I must agree, "Standard" Steel Rims will always look better than ugly alloys... (and widened standard rims are way cool) however there are some non standard rims I'm looking into... (steel or non steel)

Check out the rims on my AZU, for example... Wink

Ok....Ive looked, whats different about them? they just look like standard black 2cv rimsd to me Question

I think Ive just decided though, Ill be getting a set of rims banded for my 2cv, I wanted it finished for the end of the month, cant see that happeneing now, I keep adding to the 'want that' list!

Talking of wheels, anybody want to buy a set of GSA alloys?

Hi

Sorry, the photos aren't that great...

Here is a better pic :

They are Peugeot 203 rims...

-15 inch

-1 extra inch wide compared to 2cv Rims

-4 slits, like 2cv 400 rims... for that extra added old school look Wink

Quite easy.

Also fitted to Pug 403.

Only fitted on Saloon 203 and 403, though (Estates have 5 lug wheels)

Peugeot 404 have the same size wheels but with holes like AMI Super rims...
