By the way,
I am looking for a gearbox for the 603. Anybody got a spare lying around?

An update on the project:
New improvements have been made on technical and Kustom fronts.
After major fiddling it runs very well. Really comfortable on long rides and a pleasure to drive. Wonder how it will feel when I replace four broken shock absorbers and lower it 10cms. Gearbox & clutch still need replacing, as do the brake drums.
I shaved the side trim and welded up the holes. After some filler and a partial respray, you would never know they had been there.
Then I fitted an ornament I found at some old-parts market.
Before:
After:
I am busy making fender skirts out of recycled sheet metal (it used to be the side of a Mercedes bus ).
I have one finished now. It will look really good when it's ready.
Yesterday I fitted some new blinkers. The old ones were just too big and in the wrong place. I found these really funky ones at the Vehikel meet in Utrecht. It says MAP on them.
I still have to weld the holes of the original blinkers but you can already see the improvement.
I am also thinking of putting the upper part of a DS bumper over the number plate. I don't know if it will fit but it will look cool!
Tomorrow I am meeting a guy who has some parts! I hope to bring back an early type rear bumper and some other parts! _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

I removed the original huge plastic blinkers and filled the holes in the fenders. Then I placed these space-age items I found at a swap meet on the bumper.
It makes the front of the car look much smoother and brings out the lines of the fenders.
I also found this cool mirror, which will fit in nicely with the plans for the headlights.
I plan to fit six of them and put tri bar headlight covers on them. Like in this photoshop. There is also a piece of a Citroen DS grille above the license plate.
I test fitted some Simca Aronde rear lights and it looks great. I will have to try to find the best angle and do a lot of bodywork to make them fit.
Also, check out the bumper from an early 603, which looks much better and curves around the side of the car.
I placed a chromed bulletpoint over the reflector in the rear light.

I'm more concerned about the lamps... reminds me of this :
And I frankly don't see what benefit it will add to the car ? _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Is that price in Euro's? That's a lot for a Tatraplan in that state. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.
