Hey!
Here's the story of my ex-2CV.
I bought it in 2003 january because my other 2CV (the hoodride one) had some chassis problem... I needed another car to drive and just bought this one for 350 euros, technic control ok but the carrosserie was really damaged.
With some friends we painted it for the fun with many colours. I drove like that for 2 years, but I had many problems with people (they thought it was a car to play with and often in the night someone was damaging it). And the car was working so well I decided to make it look better!
So I changed all the body parts (fenders, doors, bonnet) and I painted it in matt black. Roof was already red, and I painted the wheels in a shiny red
It was looking quite ok, and I was thinking it was the end of my troubles... but some months later, in the night of the april 22th 2006 in Grenoble (France), my car has been burned. But as the police said, it was just a 2CV...

I had the same, with an agent. My car was trasehd from behind, 1st thing the officer said was, you should not be on the road with such an old and unsafe car.............. It was in "new" condition, and me and my girl got out unharmed. And yes, it was a big impact, with 60 km per hour into the back of my little 2cv........

Nowadays in Belgium, you get BIG money if you're 2CV is damaged in an accident.
But you have to insist they consider it a classic-car, and not 'just' a 2CV.
I got started on 2CV's with a tattied car, that got in an accident.
From there, I only moved up! _________________ Find your parts @ www.reKup.net ! |

I got 1800 euros from insurrance, that was good (I paid that car 350 euros). But I had no insurance for fire (and criminels never pay for what they do of course), but at this moment I was working for an organisation. This organisation had an insurrance... so that helped me! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

My first Citroën was a 2cv4 (1977). It burned out in 1983 because of a technical problem. The local fire department had to extinguish the fire. The asphalt under the car burned as well.
The police took the papers of my car and it never hit the road again.
In this car I made a very beautiful trip to Morocco.
In the background of the picture I added you see the Ford Anglia of 1965 I drove after the accident.

It's a good idea with a heatshield between the bonnet and the turbochargers... _________________ 2CV x3
