A BX Millesime seat looks in mine opinion better than a GS seat. GS seats look to big for a small car like the 2cv.
And a BX seats sits good for long distances.

But i've you go for the looks I don't pick both of them. But stick with your old seats from the Simca. Wink

AMI and GS seats are totally different.

There were GSA seats in Peter Sparrows AMI Super, they seemed quite OK the time I used them. AMI seats are less supportive, because they use the same technology as 2cv seats : elastic bands...

Hi

no pictures for the moment unfortunately... they are near La Rochelle, in France...

so, that's far, I guess.

But I might (that's a big MIGHT) be driving to holland some time this year... so I could bring them.

Bye

if matching front and rear seats is the main issue in picking out what seats will be in your 2cv, make the rear seat same??

I have seats from a CX GTI in my 2cv, and taken of the fabric of the rearseats and made them fit over my 2cv rear seats. Only thing to worry about is to take a car that has no rearseats that can be seperated.

yep, that's the best way... just use a big car so that you can cut the required shapes for the 2cv rear seat out of the cover of the donor car

Just a question here, what do your simca seats look like and so you want to sell them if you fit new seats? Im interested in some new seats for my 2cv.

jaguar xj6 series 3 or daimler double 6 seats fit a 2cv, and you can ahve them with heater elements!

Hello Robin,
what do you plan to do in your 2CV?
Young married 2CV people tend to use car for sleeping and some fun before --> Both(!) Ami8 seats are able to lay down completely. None of the modern big seats support this feature. I modified my rear bench to remove the back --> some cloths in the boot and you have a nice bed.

We went with Ami8 and OEM seats from Austria (south) to Spa without (planned) stops. We were three men - not too small. No problems with my 'sensitive' back.

If you just want stiffer seats take any seat you can find on next scrap yard. Welding a frame is not much effort. Buy some (not too cheap) seat protectors(?) and nobody will see that front and rear seats are different. If you like you could spend all new clothes (much effort).

But remember: Soft seats are part of suspension! Stiff seats let you feel much 'noise' from street and frame work.
