Just a few photos of my new project before i do some alterations to the 'Kubel'.
Not sure whether this is the right subject section to put it in, but im sure someone will move it if its not
Thats what it used to look like a week after i got it.
This is what it looks like now
Stripped down frame with new forward position for the brake and gear change levers.
Harley tank fitted and new single seat.
Got a Harley carb and filter to go on and a custom made pair of stainless drag pipes to fit.
Im thinking of Wine red colour scheme on the tank with cream coloured detail on the sides of the tank and rear mudguard _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Had some time off work so needed to do something to keep occupied
[img]
Done some chopping on the rear mudguard and fitted it in its new position.
[/img]
Lowered the rear end by about three inches (80mm), just re-positioned the shock absorbers.
Fitted some 'proper' handlebars . Never had Ape Hangers before but love the look of them so looking forward to the first ride out.
[/img]
Anyone recognise the new headlamp ive fitted???
It just looks so right on here.
More to follow next few days. _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Make your bike as great as that, we all do know that you have skills.
First you have to get rid of that ugly stock frame. Also forgot all HD parts.
Even those mag wheels could look fine example in dark color and with
retro firestones/avons.

Olli, for now the frame stays as it is because i dont have the time to make a custom one from scaratch, but who knows, next year, maybe!
The wheels will be satin black, as will the fork legs.
Ive got old school rubber gaiters for the forks and vintage avon whitewall tyres for front and rear.
I love the Harley tank and the carb is practical as i was having problems with the two original japanese carbs.
Ive picked the colours for the bike the other day. Its going to be a heavy metalic copper/gold with cream panelling on the sides of the tank like the old Triumph's used to be. I will carry the cream over onto the rear mudguard also.
It should be finished just after christmas and since these photos were taken ive done a bit more.
I will post some more photos when i get a chance _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Been quite busy with one thing or another and had a change of colours for the bike, so here are a few photos of the job so far.

Done a bit more as the trip to Normandie is only a month away and it needs to be ready in time.
Wanted to stick with the old style theme, so cut up an old lawnmower petrol tank to make an oil tank

Nice, but in my point of view, the gas tank is way too big!

Cheers Muskie for the advice.
To be honest i tend to look over my shoulder rather than rely on mirrors.
With a bit luck we will be leaving the others behind _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |
