Here he is!

Plenty of new projects but for the moment not Citroen-related.

In short:
-sold the Tikiwagon in june to BOB. He drove it to the Czech meeting this summer. I am now out of Citroens.

-I moved to a new workshop and have been busy for weeks building a paintbooth to paint this:

It's a 1977 Dodge tradesman. It was customized in the 80s and apparantly in the collection of a famous Los Angeles car musuem for 20 years. I bought it from the guy who brought it over from the US last year.

It's as period perfect 80s Custom Van as you'r gonna get and it's in perfect condition...

-Still have the Tatra. Stil haven't figured out how to put the gearbox back together and Tatra specialists are very thin on the ground. So without running gear but in my new workshop:

Several interesting new paint projects:
XS650 Cross-chop for Short-Cut Choppers:

Doing now, Puch "El Disastro Racer:

Coming next week, 1958 Buick Full Custom:

All these projects and more can be seen on my BLOG:

BTW I still keep track of SNAIL, just nothing to post for awhile.
Happy Holidays to everyone!

It is true, I must confess. It was me. I worked at Burton almost 10 years ago. There is a wonderful group of people around that company and I have always stayed in touch. Last year I was asked to do this exciting project by the designer Dimitri, because he knew I was into special paint and he wanted something special.

The color scheme is inspired by the Mako Shark Corvette prototypes of the sixties and an added touch were the lightning bolts (because it's an electric car). I suggested moon discs and a friend did the upholstery.

I'm especially happy with the color, it's a custom mixed pearl blue and it's especially beautiful in sunlight.

i've seen this burton in person and i must say the paintjob indeed turned out beautiful, very deep blue color. smooth finish and no pinholes!
especially if you know that it's all polyester which is difficult to prepare for paint. nice job!

Thank you, kadaver, that's nice to hear!
I haven't actually seen the completed car myself but I was promised a testdrive and I am keen to experience my first electric-car drive.
