that's an interesting project...looking forward to hear if that gives more power!

i'm just asking me in what way the lenght of inlet/intake influences the power of the engine...
i've heard that a longer one gives you more power at lower rpm, and short more power on high rpm.

looking forward to see accellerater cable's ( or what ever you will develop fot it )

I've heard that short intake = quick response and not so good fuel economy, long intake = slower response but better fuel economy. So for rally and for quick shifting tracks you want short intake, for long lasting racers and longer tracks a long intake is best.

In new cars you sometimes find both were the intake can be shortened with a valve system. That way you have more power when accelerating and on highway better fuel economy.

on my 50cc bikes I always used longer intake for better fuel economy and nicer ride when crusing at 90km/h

did you check the two bearings (the bushes) for wear? They are very cheap and easy to change, since you have it in parts now anyway.
