I have sworn to first finish my DS project... but the latent 2cv poison in my blood is now boiling out of control, thanks to you guys among other things.
To make things worse I have now finally visited the car that has been waiting for me in my friends garage for ages. 
Its a 1963 AZA that my friend bought and restored in 1979, he then used it as a daily driver for many years, sometimes with a little me in the back seat for journeys to 2cv meetings across the continent...
It is pretty much original looking except for the lumder jack green colour and a few modifications like the home made white roof  + equiped with an original Mixte rear door frame, Belgian door trays etc...
The car is spiced up with a 12V system, a 32hp engine and a Dyane gear box with centrifugal clutch
To run the car needs an engine and break overhaul... (to start with)
My fever-dream is to get this car on the street ASAP, just to hear the sweet song of the boxer twin and get some summer air in my hair... 
Now for the future plans. 
The car is not an original to start with so as a counterpart to my DS project this will be more of a relaxed thing with focus on fun, looks and drivability.
My plans for the looks are soo fare to gently polish and refine the core of my favorite 2cv generation, the basic early 1960s look, finding the right stands (not lowered flat) the right details and carefully selecting some cool accessories from the time.
Since the car is begging for a repaint I am thinking of a solid used look. Without a rough home made patina or matte paint, instead by using rubbing, I am hoping to achieve a buffed oxidized look like in this picture.
The color I am considering is Vert Embrun or Gris Typhon... Think the original paint was Gris Rosé.
(My dreams of a car with that sweet original patina will have to rest for a future AZU project...)
The drive-line is still an open book, the 32hp + dyane combination is all right for starters I suppose...
Again focus will be on drivability and looks, not originality or performance.
Perhaps some nice 60-s tuning details combined with an optimized engine and gear box combination?? (I still have a lot to learn on what could be done on the mechanics)
Snail or not I am hoping for fresh constructive ideas, inspiration and cool references from the Snail community!

One step closer... the garage where the 2cv is resting is now being cleared since my friend is moving out, hopefully he will now take the final decision to let the car go...

I like the pic. Colour combination is nice. Don´t need to lower much, but just a bit, and it will look just fine. But du gör like you want.

Another step closer... the car is now mine and will be transported home in a couple of weeks.
First target will be to bring the car back to life as is!
Here's the look I am aiming at in the future:
If and when I repaint, the colour will be Gris Typhon AC147.
(Suspension settings are to be desided, not to low... predictable accessories needed are a roof rack and a Marchal on the bumper.)

Nice! but personally I prefer Vert Embrun, (which was available in -63...)
But there is something about Gris Typhon!

 Today that very same old AK350 ("Bi-Bip") is for sale here in Sweden!

Yes, Baden Baden was visited the summer before (1978) during one of many long summer trips across Europe in various Citroëns.

That would be fun!
Unfotunantly the AK was sold 15 minutes after the ad was published... I never had a chance. 
-Probably jut as well considering the amateur sheet metal work my dad did on the car; his first painful experiments with welding and he started out with two wrecked cars...
