After our 2 projects, (one purple 2cv and our green pick-up)
we descided to work on a 3th project.
This time it will be one for to drive a raid with it.
The idea is that it has got to be an old looking 2cv with small details.
We started it on november the 30 last year and here are some photo's.
We do hope to finish it before the summer.

The chassis is stronger now and completly repainted.
Even the arms and all the underbody parts.
Everything is mounted with special grease for offroad use.

We can open the thrunk with the window completly.
You can see the 2 diffirent plates in the 4th an 5th picture.
It's like a diane idea based thrunk. Mutch easyer to handle compared with an 2cv thrunk.

They are indeed not the original floorpannels Cool
This is done for the bigger springs that we've mounted.

The color is an opinion, but we've made this choise because we think thats the best one for it.

Mutch of the bodywork will be in epoxy, because it's mutch stronger then polyester. The front fenders, back fenders, motorhood and triangles beneed the motorhood will be in this material. On the last picture you can see our mal for the motorhood.

THX for the reactions!

Cool work...

At least you didn't do a multicolored chassis and body like most raid2cvs. it's got a nice custom "daily driveable" touch to it.

Malte : if you want floor panels with humps you can use AZAM6 floors (AMI 6 Chassis). they are available at 2cv parts dealers

Nice work.

Love the way the roof looks compared to the car. You need to know there is a metal roof, otherwise you need to look twice to see it right away.

Though, one question!

I have one of those racing seats aswell, next month the wheels are coming for it, it will be my office chair. They look the same to me. Mine was very cheap, and did not came with any aproval or certifcate for road use. They are road legal, but not as strong as any modern seat used by a car manufacturer. Is that not a problem for the raid?

Looks nice!

I welded my roof as well and I can tell you the body is a lot stronger. There's lots less noice and no bothering any more about leaks or so.

Normally I drive with an imperial so I never opened the roof anyway and then you see it even less.

Thx,

The seats that we have are E-marked and they are absolutly strong enough.
They came out of a car that have passed the control allready.
(every seat is compared to the original seats of a 2cv stronger Cool )
