I know what you mean, I think it's rouge de castille, verry nice colour, been thinking of something like that.

@ JoZef: I know, and you're right! I might switch to 2 lights on each side, I just hate unclear brakelights (the ones in the same unit as the normal rearlights) sometimes it is so hard to tell if someone steps on his brakes or not...

Finally got to do some more this weekend, put on the rear fenders, most work was measuring again and again. But there on now, also a pic of the innerfenders and corner of the pu bed.

Looks good! Great with these frontwings as rear wings.

But is the bed mounted to the chassis yet? It looks slooping to the front now. When you see the car from the side it looks like it's broken in the middle. Maybe some spacers in the front of the bed...

Thnx!

when you look from the side the bed is in the same line as the cab, just form these views it looks a bit weird, also because the sides of the cab aren't straight.

great work rusty, looks better and better..

must have been a hard job getting the corners of the bed so round (i see even the frame is kind of round), would have been much easier to make everything square.

thnx,

yep, would heve been a lot easier, but not as nice, and my father hes good connections to a company where they do all kinds of sheetmetalwork, and we can use material at costprice and machines for free Very Happy , still took a full day with 2 pers. to complete all parts. Cool and if you have the right machines (roll, and bending press (wals en kantbank in dutch) it's doable!

but what do you mean by round frame? the floor of the bed is 2 mm steel, and an anglegrinder does miracles!

I think he means the top corner part, but I guess you cut it out from sheet and welded it on the corner.

It's been itching... Don't have a drivable 2cv for a couple of months now. I decided to start working on my PU next week again. And try to finish it before the WM! But still many things to do! I'll keep you posted!

Greetzzzzzz, Rusty

so didn't make it in time for the WM... other priorities, but kicked out the GF so got time again :)... Got back to work on it the last couple of weekends. I'll just copy and paste the post from an other forum so you can see the progress!

Some parts might be familiar Wink

pics:

Also made a new filler for the tank, it needs to go between the chassis and the pu bed. Only have about 4cm....

\

Also got something nice from a good friend, he used to have it in his old mini's

this saturday I will be able to continue!
