It's funny to like Hot Rod and want to avoid US parts...

It reminds me what John Lennon said :
" French rock'n'roll ? It's like english wine"

it's called "daring to be different, just for the sake of it", like fender skirts on a AZU Laughing

But not to worry, any kind of perfo part will make it look like a us flat head... Laughing

A C4F LOOKS like a 1930 ford but it isn't. Just like that engine. When it's finished, most people will think this car is a Ford with a flathead. Only connaisseurs will know what's going on.

That's just what us funny dutch guys like. Rolling Eyes

Why not building a small car, with a small engine only for city use, only with american part ? Laughing

Joke apart, there are few example of citroen c4 hot rods which look ok. But I definetly don't understand this idea to make an european hot rod...
There are few project of french hot rod with peugeot 404 engine and stuff, Citroen c4 body etc. I just don't get it.
Anyway even if this v8 engine has been built in France, it's still an american engine.

I think it is a really good idea to use a french flathead when building a hotrod based on a french car. The used parts got to suit together somehow and a american engine in a european style car just doesn't.

This engine is almost 1 to 1 of american Ford Flathead, its licence build of it.
In Finland many Ford rods has them cause they were cheap.

WOW !!! I so amazed but such an original (may I say pointless ?) concept Laughing

Dudes, you're capable of building a cool car, but quit the pretentious idea that no one will notice it's not a Ford.

A C4 is a C4, ANYONE will notice the difference... it's design is copied from A Ford, but not as nicely made... window level in relation to windscreen, ugly firewall etc.... It's exactly the same as fitting a 2cv front to an Acadiane, and saying "oh, people won't notice it's not an AK400 Laughing Laughing Laughing

Engine is irrelevant.

The idea of "people won't know what's going on" (as if... Laughing ) would be more interesting if you used a C4 grille on a Deuce Body...

THAT would get people wondering... but building a Deuce is not a cheap as a C4, I guess Laughing
