heya! recognise you from Myspazz, your A is the shizzle.

Sadly not doing sweden, well, i might be flying there but I cant afford to drive out there as I start a new job the day the meeting ends, and also, all my cars are off the road! The Dyane is 100% buggered, the ami6 has a seized engine, and the 2CV is still having its arse end rebuilt.

Will be very sad if i dont go!!

Heya Shed - mesister.

You found this excellent place then.

I have a question actually.

Whats the bodyshell and then chassis like on Ken?
If you would be so kind.

I have one hell of a plan forming.

Well i tried not to look too hard, simply because i didnt want to know how much money id wasted on it....

but....

The chassis *looks* good, no patches or visible holes or rusty bits.

The body will need sills and a fair few patches, and theres a fuck-off great hole on the bulkhead behind the spare wheel.

apart from that, and the fact it will never be an imaculate car again, its not to bad.

Ken the sidewinder i presume? oh please do it!!!

Yes, almost definitly ken the sidewinder, but im thinking roof chop too.

I've got some spare dyane doors here, im gonna measur eup and see how easy it would be to cut the glass down etc and fit it all back into the seals.

My CX is on e-bay now too (check it out 130 quid start no reserve, someone buy it)

That way i have the cash to come get him and the space too.

Lets see who we can upset :)

Ken the sidewinder would be ace, If youre doing a roofchop, is there any chance I can help out? ive never done one before but id bloody like to.

I think instead of you giving me any wonga for Ken, is there any chance you have a carb (pref twin choke) operated by a rod linkage? I need one for the M28 conversion on the ami, and would happily swap Ken for one.

Mate, deal.

I have carbs coming out my ears, i have rod linkage setup (off the shedtastic drummer, well still on it actually) but if thats what you need they are yours, i will just bung twin choke and cable onto the thing.

You are welcome to help with chop of roof-age. In fact id welcome the extra brain power.

As soon as CX is gone and i have space and money to come get this is going off.

We gonna be popular............NOT!!!! Twisted Evil

Lovely job my man, I suggest you keep the, er, creative graffitti on it, but itll be yours and im not a big enough twat to sell a car then dictate what happens to it (hehe). The carb will be adequate enough payment for Ken, as it means the ami can get hella faster with M28 power at last!

(any ideas what clutch cable im gonna need? ami6 LHD pedal box, to late downward pointing clutch arm?)

hmmm cable wise i figure it will be ok to use a standard rhd clutch cable, dunno maybe a bit long, might want a LHD one, sure usual suspects (i.e. Andre) will sell you won at very good price Razz

I may just sidewinder him standard body first, if that goes well then chop after a bit of shakedown use, whilst standard height the 'artwork' will stay, as and when chop happens then it will be 'rod painted.

Im thinking along geoffs idea of grey primer base with red oxide flames still.

Its on the bump stops at the front though, whats the general way around this, cut them down a bit?Im aiming on the finished article being a bit of a milder version of a cros between these two cars....

Much milder Id like to point out....
