Yeah, but if you order a kit and build it you're self, you get away with 4500,- (+batteries) Would have been great fun in a city...

Very interesting, another nice exemple is Jean Donnier's Dyane:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NjzrPAwN8tk

He is using an AC engine, here is description of his car (sorry, in french):
http://www.cadichonne.net/DyaneElectrique.php

After a little search, I'm 99% sure this is his ev source:
http://www.a-e.ch/site_francais/produit/motorisation_auto_ac.htm

And their price list:
http://www.a-e.ch/site_francais/liste_prix/liste%20de_prix_motorisation.htm

ev is definitly not cheap! swiss quality, no doubt! Laughing

It seems these cars were built in a very limited edition in France (maybe 10-20 cars) for local delivery. Check out the electrical connection were the tank filler used to be.

Here's the motor, attached to a normal 2cv4 gearbox.

The batteries were supposedly normal car batteries, linked in series and stored in the back.

The dash is pretty standard, except for the huge Ammeter, voltmeter etc.
There is a lever to control current to the motor (to regulate power output).

This car was photographed in Holland, 6 years ago. The car was sold as it was shown here. I have not seen it since.

Snail this: the 2cv reincarnates in India! Neutral
"Sources within the PSA group confirmed on Wednesday the reputation of a collaboration with the Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors. The result is reportedly an eco friendly car for less than 2000€, based on the Tata Nano that was shown at the Geneva motor show recently."
