Hello you'll,

I'm Youri a.k.a. deblacksmith from Ede, Holland.
Here some pics of my project called The SchrotRod.
It started live is a normal 2cv6 make 1986.
Originally i was planning to restore the body, but it was so terrible, i got my grinder and started cutting with this as a result.

Hi and welcome here!

Your 2cv is really fun!

I like cuted windshield!

One question, why did you not channel it? The shell body is so small now, it could be quick work and your 2cv really could look really low!

Some ideas: paint wheels (but please not in red), no turn signals in front fenders, older grille...

Keep posting! It's cool to see that kind of 2CV here, it's the perfect place for that now!!

Do you have rear views of the car by the way?

Thanks guys,

Btw Woody, nice car you have build, i saw it in Antwerpen at the Kustom show !

And for Etienne

The wheels are going to be covered by gs hubcaps.
The indicators and the numberplate are going to be relocated, the front bumper is going away.
The front bonnet is going to be replaced with an old style bonnet. Front fenders will be replaced by cyclewings and the exhaust will be in "lakepipe" style

And for the backend:

The alloy box wich is on there right now is going to be replaced with an all bamboo box.

And much, much more, when the body is finished, i'm going to build a speedy engine Twisted Evil

And about the channeling, i checked it out but i think its to labour intensive, maybe the next project.

Hi bjorn,

We've talked on the phone a few weeks ago. I work at Customs and Classics in Ede.

www.citroen2cv6.nl

Channeling is making the body fit around the chassis, so you have to cut out your floorpans drop the body 12 to 15 centimeters around the chassis and make a new floorpan.

and for me it is a big problem with 2cv cause I like low car.
Or even when 2cv is the lowest possible.... it still look high!

That's why I'm working on Dyane channelled project!

There was a blue belgian channelled 2CV in Vinadio!

Channeling is when you drop body of car on frame.
Like you know if you drop your 2cv suspension all a way down
your car body is still 12cm up from ground. When body is channeled
your car looks lower and there is still much more space under frame.
