A Belgian built car in Croatia, interesting! Do you know in which country it has been deliverd originally? It's not a 2cv AZ, but AZL3.

from J.Cats..... before 2 years...RIP

your car is a swiss car, the car in my photos is a belgian car.
Swiss cars had different lighting as swiss regulations were somewhat more
strickt then the belgian regulations.
Also, many cars got additional lighting during their life to either make
the car safer or keep up with local regulations.

It's a 2cv AZL3, there's nothing such as a Belgian AZ Export. The '59 AZL3 has the third sidewindow, specific rear fenders, opening booth to remove the spare wheel, big dashboard, cardholders in front doors, aluminium bumpers / hubcaps / strips ... all the details like the car you're selling. Wink

A picture of a strictly original Belgian built '59 AZ:

The only modification a Belgian AZ could have had for export to Switzerland are the indicators on the front wings, like happened to your AZL3. Good luck with selling this car.

I would like to add that Jeroen Cats has done an incredibly fantastic job concerning the research of the Belgian built 2cv's, but the information on his website dates back from the late nineties and is not always complete or correct. Nowadays people like Vincent Beyaert have finished and completed the work Jeroen started on the Belgian built 2cv's. There are now practically no more doubts about any serial numbers or models built here in Belgium whereas in the nineties nobody knew what an AZL3 or an AZS was. But of course Jeroen started it all and a lot of information you read on the internet and in books is based on the research he has done.

The Belgian factory started to build 2cv's in '52, in that year their serial numbers started with 120 for the A's and 201 for the AU's. They kept on counting to the year '59, so all the berlines had a serial number 190-**** and all the vans 901 -**** In 1960 they started using different numbers for each model. But a 2cv with number 190 -**** can either be an AZ, an AZS or an AZL3. And this car is an AZL3 for the reasons Sam already mentioned and of course Vincent's website makes it all very clear.
