Just woke up, checking this forum as part of my morningrituel and was gazing for minutes to the new banner. How nice is this car! I think our big Andre should smile a nice smile when he could see what people are still doing with his TPV. |

Hmm, on the whole I think it's safe to say that in Andrés case he wakes up with morning sickness more often than he wakes up smiling

I don't think André Citroën ever saw any 2 CV. Actually he didn't even think about it because he died before his successor started the TPV project ! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

I agree with CitroënAZU, it can't get lower, the wheels and tires are too big.
Is it street-legal? I see a license-plate. _________________ http://muskies-aircooled.skynetblogs.be/ |

I was very excited about this car and waited a long long time till it was finished. The photoshop looked well and the previews were promising!
I just can't help it but i'm disappointed. It's too narrow, too high and too short to be extreme cool.
This is what I was expecting and hoping for:
Maybe you can make it a little more extreme like this?
Lower to the ground, wider axles?
Still love the idea and craftmanschip! |

Why do people always expect and need for hot rod projects to be "extreme" ?

i dont think it needs to be extreme, but i have to agree its a bit to high for my taste. i think it would look much better close to the ground. |

Thats because you're only familiar with the current in trend low stance of hot rods.
This one is an excellent example of a "traditional" hot rod, although the period of this style is earlier than the one of the rods used as reference for this build, I would say.
(maybe a bit too clean, though ) _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Fantastic build! I think it is very interesting and it takes a little while to get used to as it pushes the envelope quite far, as with anything radical!
I have looked at it for a couple of days now and have one comment. I think that the rear wheels are too close to the body. Now the wheels are placed inside the rear part of the sill - that creates a strong visual effect. To move the wheels out an inch or two would cure the "narrowness effect". If you look at a classic model A Ford rod, which is the natural reference, even when the rear wheels are close to the body they are never inside the body, so to speak.
I am very curious to know more about the construction and look forward to more photos!
PS - it would also be nice if the gap for the light tubes in the hood are closed. I'm sure they will be.
By the way - the photoshopped image by Shadowsintonightmare above nails what I'm getting at with the gap/sill. The height issue is a matter of taste. _________________ Praise the lowered!

Don't you think it's already quite extreme for a 2 CV ? More would be just ridiculous. I'll post some more pics later. This car is really impressive, it has a great style. I just followed it on 600 km and the stance is awesome. _________________ www.super2cv.com |
