400m -> 9s and 191km/h...

Fast but butt ugly!
For the owner the goal was to make a fast 2cv with total regular outside... Laughing

Last week-end, it's the first ride for this 2CV for a american car, rod and custom meeting at Lanas (France 07)

I think this 2CV don't realizes the 400 metres in 9 seconds...

It's a Volumex
Found on an other forum :
GS X2 or X3 engine, with VW cylinders (???)
GS gearbox, 4 speed

It seems to be difficult to be at 190 km/h with a 4 speed GS gearbox, isn't it ???

Volumex not expensive ? hmm... last one I saw on ebay was kinda high priced...

If it's from a lancia Beta it's a blower designed for a 2.0L engine... Dunno what sort of VW cylinders did he use ? Last time I saw 1600 cc beetle cylinders near a 1300 cc GS engine it seemed sort of difficult to fit the cylinder heads back on... Question

Best blower would be the Eaton M45, it's cheap and usually new on Ebay UK...

Anyway, if it's the guy who built it who claims 400m in 9 sec @ 190 km/h I think we can safely say he probably boasting a bit Laughing

A friend of mine built a Hayabusa Turbo engined Bond Bug, it was 275 BHP for 385 kilos, and he did 400m in 10.4 sec @ 200km/h (he reached 200 km/h in 8 seconds Laughing) faster than an Enzo...

Bearing in mind an AMI Super chassis 2cv weighs around 700... he must be shifting what ? 500 BHP in order to get down to 10 sec ? ...

So that is BIG bullshit Laughing

He took a complete Ami 8 floor including trunk, that's very nice! I'll keep my mouth shut about the rest. I like the red brush painted manifold.
