Won't loose my time to do so... Cool , Beside if you knew what I think, you would certainly say more... Laughing

I can return compliment, I was expresing my feeling!

JoZeF wrote:
I can debate about what I find is bad or good in this or any car, based on facts or arguments to back up what I'm expressing.

That's the words: DEBATE and ARGUMENTS, not just this is shit.

JoZeF wrote:
Of course, in this case, just saying "I think it is shit'' is a bit of a heavy handed shortcut

I can't agree more!

JoZeF wrote:
If you cannot do the same to back up what you think is good about this, or any car, well, you can stay home with your morale teaching.

That's an option I will study. Sad Arrow

Study it well.

I couldn't give a shit about what you think about me or anyone. which doesn't seem to be your case.

Now, let's start again, please, please do tell us what is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo brilliant/well thought/well proportioned about this vehicle... you didn't actually argument anything in your first message, and seemed to do exactly what you were accusing us "nasty people" of doing.

I can't help you if you cry every time someone bad is said about something you like. I can't pay for your psychotherapy, but maybe we could sell a new snail sticker to fund it. Laughing Laughing Laughing

You could also ask Etienne, he's the moderator of this forum who posted this 'shitty' car! Wink I can't imagine he just posted it because of the channeling, it's only a quarter of a body anyway. Very Happy So let's just say that it was a bit wrong to post this car here in the first place ... right?

I'm not joking, but this car would look great with the Delta's, white indicators on the front and German license plates! It would look very natural. Very Happy

If it was german it would be pink or yellow! Laughing

Joseph, Olli and I are the admins, just same level! Wink

I posted pics of this car, cause it's good to share for people they don't go on the french 2cv forum. It's not often we can see a new custom 2cv.

This car is interresting because of the channelling and the pick-up/convertible idea. These are good ideas. It could be better but it could be a lot worst.

Anyway... Avrell took it wrong I posted pics here. He thought I did that in order to have fun about him. It's not the case. Now he thinks I don't have the mind of a "2cv owner"...

Well, I guess some dudes will have something to say about the last line you wrote, Etienne Wink

I'd gladly give my Admin/moderator duties to Sam, he seems to be one of the rare guys here who actually "get it" Laughing and he isn't even building a custom

As I was preparing my answer, other posts came that seem to calm down this topic. Anyway I post, I hope it won't restart the fire! I just try to clear my position.

If that was true, I guess you wouldn't even answer,
and let's face it, if you don't care what other people think about you, me or anyone else and what you, me or anyone else do, you would not post on any forum either.
BUT, you are right, I do care about what other people think of me.

OK, let's start again.
I guess you don't care either about political correctness, but I do about a little diplomacy.
Imagine you post for the first time and you read as reaction :
« this is shit ! », Seeing your reaction to what I wrote, I can’t imagine what would happen…
and, from what I just read from Etienne, that's exactly what happened with Mathieu...
If instead you read :
« this is not my kind of style, I’d rather change wheels combo for radirs, and maybe repaint it Metalflakes green (and DO NOT see any kind of critics or irony there ! any way you don’t give a shit to what I think…) »
I guees it would be easier to start a constructive discution, I mean, it’s not always white or black, shit or nice !

What I have seen in this car (as I said before) is a work in progress. I know Mathieu has been working on this car for a while, and the evolution came from this :

To what you see today. (Now that I look at this pix again, I would have kept those wheels.)
And maybe I’m wrong but I guess flat black and red rims (OK ! not the right ones, but he already changed them) fit your tastes.

Now for what I like about this car, as Etienne just wrote :

Etienne wrote:

and I saw something not that far from a drawing I did a little time ago, and maybe that’s why I react this way…

Now, about my psychotherapy, you can keep your money for your next project !Laughing

Etienne wrote:

And about this I never could understand that « 2 CV’s owner mind » thing! Question
