How old it is? Finnish 2cv club is since 1962.

Last weekend was excellent, really enjoyed myself. Seen many friends, spoke some snailers, but was too busy to say hello to some others I did see, sorry (one was actually too pissed to more or less have a chat with Laughing Wink Laughing )

Anyway, it was great! Here are the best pictures I made:

A real sahara, great to see!

And hey you can't start early enough, can you??? Laughing

See you all next time, Bart

It's always always good to see a genuine sahara, but what's with putting the gay flowers on such a rare, original car? I hope they're only stuck on or someone needs to have a word with him!

You could also say they are hippy flowers, however I think they are painted... You could have a word with the guy, but don't think you'll have much succes, he takes it offroad a few times a year and doesn't seem to worry about the fact it is actually a rare car which is worth a lot of money.

Which I think is just the right approach Laughing Cool Laughing

The owner of this Sahara drives this car A LOT! He's almost on all 2cv meetings and always ready for the offroad tracks! That's great!

I guess the flowers are really from the 60's or 70's!

He has 2, from what I've understood...

And, yep, that's the way to use a 40 000 euro car, with or without flowers

The only thing wrong with the sahara is that its not running 2 602ccs, or better, 2 1299ccs.

I wouldn't say that too loud... it has 2 18 bhp engines and performed really, really well! We think an 2 times 18bhp engine is very good for offroad, because it gives quite a lot of power/torque on for offroad very usable engine speed ~3500RPM and 2 times 18 bhp is 36 bhp, you don't get that out of a standard 602... On top of that these 18bhp engines have very heavy flighwheels which really helps up hill!!

The twin 602 engined buggy in the pictures couldn't even get close to the performance of the sahara, although it has 60bhp+. Last but not least 2 gs(a) engines are not the way to go I'd think, just think of what happens with the cambelts when the get under water...

Cheers, Bart

The guy in the 2-engined buggy never got out of 1st gear and was really speeding with it... That's really not the way of 4x4 driving.
The Sahara guy did it much better because his tires were almost flat and he drove really slow, then you got much more grip!

Sadly I don't see any nice pictures of our 4x4's... Well we had great fun anyway!

Later in the afternoon it got too busy and also a little bit dangerous, so we took off.
