Hi All,
I'm currently building a LePatron but like the technical details on this forum so I registered.
Maybe in the future I might get me a a ratrod type of car.
I like extremes being be it shiny and extremely old school retro.
Hope to learn a lot from this forum.
Cheers

The first make might be a ratrod .
I will paint it after homologation and every body part has an other color so radrot might be a cool way to drive the first years. |

Hello all snailers.
I am new here so here's my story. I'm 35, from Kirkkonummi, Finland.. some 30kms West from Helsinki.
I found this place thru Olli's and some of the other active members' posts in the Finnish 2cv Guild forums..
I have been a lurker for quite some time and I thought that I should finally join.
I come from a Citroen family, so 2cv's have always been around in my life..
My first car was a 1983 GSA X1 which I got from my uncle to go to do some studying in France in 1998..
This GSA was left in Poitiers (may she rust in peace), and it was in spring 1999 when I bought my first Ami from an old couple just outside Dijon, France.
A 1971 Ami 8 club berline: Photo from 1999, very Snail don't you think?
Photo taken when we moved back to Finland after a year in Poitiers..
so the lowering is done the natural way -->
Put ALL your personal belongings in you 2cv and it should drop about 15 cm..
I had this ami8 till 2003 or 2004 and since then I have had 3 more Amis..
1966 Ami 6 break, 1967 Ami 6 berline & my current 1967 Ami 6 berline.
The 66 break bought thru ebay.. Went to get her from Issoire near Clermont-Ferrand and drove 2500kms home to Finland with my dad..
Heh what an adventure!, (Photo from Finnish Mobilisti mag):
The 1st 67 berline:
My current Ami below, also a 1967 berline, mostly dans-son-jus.. After the previous 3 Amis ending up being restored to new-like condition,
I want to take this cool hobby somewhere else..
I have agreed with the Mrs that I have only 1 old car at a time and I don't want to keep selling them once they are "ready", so something must change.
The Snail Forum seems like an interesting place for ideas and I think I'll hang out here and try to do my share by participating in the discussions.
The Ami is now in winter garage.. I will try to do what I can over the winter months.. Can't wait 'till spring comes.
I also have a 1944 Harley Davidson WLA.. but due to financing I think I must sell it..
Thanks for reading,
