Hello, my name is Santiago, I'm from Uruguay, a small country in South America between Brazil and Argentina, Citroen's we have here are made in Argentina, with the same molds used in Europe, I leave a couple of photos here and open 2 post with more pictures of each of the cars, Greetings.

Sorry about my english, i use google translator from my spanish.

This is the darling of the family, we've got about 9 years ago, was rescued from a junkyard in 2003 and restored for daily use, this photo is a classic car race that is done every year traveling 3000 km in 5 days traveling across the country.

I bought this car a month ago, was abandoned 15 years under one roof, the idea with this car is put into operation in its current state, with good mechanics in place, wheels and center caps in good condition. A "snailer" in southamerica.

The bumper it's the original for the cars produced in Argentina, in the yellow one I take it off and put a pipe tube bended lol! there are a lot of small differences between 2cv's here, the biggest one is the chassis, here in Uruguay a metallurgical company called "CIR" perform a chasis of thick metal, aprox. 3 milimeters, look for "citroen 3cv" on the internet and see photos to appreciate the differences.

Oh I was wondering if the chassis was homemade or what. It looks very simple !

I love the argentinian bumpers ! Embarassed

Helo Snailers Very Happy
My name is Mark and I come from Slough UK , Yup that Slough.
I have been messing about with old cars since I was a littlun

I have always had a penchant for Sleds and Kustoms, but also for the Oddball stuff.

I had a Dolly (For my sins) when I was 20ish and bearing in mind It was an almost new car, there was no internet and no real how to guides I did what i could to sort it out as I wanted it.
I turned the suspension down, fitted Moondiscs, tinted the windows, cut the tailpipe off fitted a Cherrybomb and fitted the thing with a ridiculous sound system.

I had a lot of fun with that car but unfortunately I being a young idiot crashed it badly and sold it on.
I forgot about 2cvs for a long time and went through many Petrolhead phases.
I wont bore you with everything I did Minis, I did Anglias (I had a rather smart Anglia Estate slammed matt black with purple flames at one stage)
Morris Minors (Bright forklift yellow, Hot A series, red rims, whitewalls and a nice bit of rake)
I did the yank thing with a 64 Ford Falcon Squire (That one got nicked and banger raced Crying or Very sad )
And then I did the Aircooled VW thing for a long time (Beetle, Baja, Splittie, Bays x 2 and a 71 Fastback)
Thing is all the while I still had a hankering for anothe A Series.

So the other week I bought Fred the Shed.
Now In UK 2cv circles Fred is quite well known.

but I bought him as a Blank canvas and as a Daily Driver.
I could have built a replica of my old car but times change and I had other ideas.
The most important was to Dedollify him.
I had a play about with ideas some worked some didnt, Like the whitewalls that flaked off within 50 miles

I think Fred is going to just keep evolving when I get bored

He might get hit with the Lowering stick soon

However i am also hopefully about to pick up a more serious project.

Hi all i'm Ducksen from the 2cv forum.

i'm currently working on the restauration of my red 2cv 1987. it's gonna be a custom / snail look. i own the car now for more then 12 years and it had some different looks true the years. Pictures can be foudn on the 2cv forum.

The 2cv has a lowered chassis with evo suspensions, torsion bars etc.
the wheels will have the original look but wider, about 175 front and about 185 / 195 back. the back fenders will be made 7 cm wider as original. A roof rack will be fitted and also a yellow fog light in front.
