welkom hier
you can put in any engine you like
and go to the RDW, if you change your engine you need to do that!!
there's a lot of info on forums on engine swappes and the rules about it
so google first before you do something _________________ https://picasaweb.google.com/bram.martsen |

@Topolino, There are plenty of parallel twin engines to chose from in motorbikes. More powerful than the visa. _________________ More is always more |

Hello everyone!
Duane here. Live in Chicago, IL USA. (please dont hold that against me..)
Looking for my second 2CV. I owned one while living in Zweibruken Germany back in the 1990's.
Have been searching online an aweful lot for loads of info regarding performance increases, engine swaps, parts availability. This site has popped up numerous times so I decided to join.
Was especially interested in Crazy Belgian's air bagged 2CV! Very nice.
Currently own:
1969 Fiat 500 Giardiniera
1959 Vespa VBA (wife's)
1978 Vespa P200 (mine)
Couple small frame projects
2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (4dr)
2007 Audi A3 (wife's car)
2007 Ducati Monster S4RS (mine)
2004 Ducati Monster 620ie (wife's)
1975 Kawasaki H1 Triple 2 stroke (mine)
1926 Oldsmobile 2dr Sedan hotrod (project)
My wife and I like traveling, watching MOTOGP and drinking! Not always in that order....
So, theres my intro.
Any other current members located here in the US? _________________ It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?

Hello...
Greetings from the northeastern U.S.
Unfortunately I don't currently have a custom 2cv but i love the cars and attitudes on this site. I previously had a ratty 2cv project that i had to pass along to make room for a 1966 ami6 that i could not turn down. Not quite sure how much customizing the Ami is going to get I've mostly just been cleaning it up it's in pretty decent shape. One of the previous owners did cut up the front door cards to install speakers so that did provide me the opportunity for a little customizing. i am halfway through the process of adding a ridiculous stereo system sure to destroy the alternator.
I also own a 74 super beetle dropped in the front although probably not low enough to be respectable on this site.
I'm hoping to one day have another 2cv to give the old rat-rod treatment.
I've been documenting some of the work I've been doing here.

thanks for the warm welcome...
Ironically I never actually noticed the barn door in that photo before, unfortunately it's not my barn just a stop on a road trip.
I need to finish up the radio in the next couple weeks before our big east coast Citroen gathering, when it's done I'll take a bunch of photos and make a thread documenting the whole process. Lot's of custom parts. |
