You're right Björn, there is a resemblance with the Short Cut Choppers SR Bobber.
Here is an other one with a "springer" on Koh Samui.

that's because most people (but luckily not everyone) who build jap bikes these days are just copying SR and XS builds from Japan without pushing the envelope...
Anyway
