well not so good, i also have to weld a lot of new parts so the body will be strong enough. i am thinking to make a rollbar or not, i'm going to drive it on daily base, probably a thousand Miles p.year. In my regular 2cv i drive a lot more and also verry fast. _________________ 2cv 1.5 ti mid-engine |

well what should I say, nice one that is!!! Great project, cool idea and you need guts to do it! I take my head of for that!!!
If I may comment on some technical solutions...
I find using standaard front brakes on a empty front gearbox not so elegant... I did see that on a orange Belgium acadyane with a bike engine in the back, didn't find it a nice solution.
For your rear suspension arms you may consider using Louis Barbour 2cv4x4 rear suspension arms, sorry not cheap but surely nice and good and much stronger than anything sahara type of rear suspension arm. Let me know if you what to know more about that.
Good luck with the project and finding time to get it all sorted!
Cheers, Bart |

looks great, for gear changing, maybe beetle has some ideas?, I know some very old systems use cables, but how that works? High tech option would be with hydraulics same as in the DS.
I am curious how rear wheel breaks will be made
If I am not mistaken silly2cv was making this idea with Honda fireblade engine, never heard of it again. _________________ 2CV, with Visa turbo charged |

For rear wheels, made just a bit bigger tyres, like 175/55/15 and widen
fenders like in Sahara. Maby someone has pictures of this Sahara rear
fender installation? Also Sahara fender cuttings would go good here.
175 tyres should be enough up to 150 horses.

Whahey, something radical! It's too bad the engine has to sit so high to clear the rear axle tube. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

I agree!
The rear axle tube is empty, it would be possible to modify it... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

The rear axle tube contains the brake lines. but, granted, that could be modified. the only issue that would need sorting is the rigidity of the axle... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.
