I agree Etienne 100%. Its better to make mods what you can make good.
If your tools, talents, design eye and money is not enough to make (example)
good coupe traction leave it orginal. I have been saying this before but here it goes
again, MODIFIED IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER. If you are not sure can you make
it well, better to make some smaller mods. Gosh.

Last comment on this topic, 7cv chop using original roof, shortened to coupe. It does resemble a 36 Ford coupe from the rear but I hardly think that's a shame. I think it does look good and you avoid a lot of trouble by using original bodyparts.

The broblem whe you make it like that is front door which remains of 4d
era and makes it look like homebuilt. Real coupe door has really nice shape
and it can be done by using front parts from other front doors. So you would
guite need 2 bodies and extra set of front doors to get good result.

Another not good looking thing is position of front wheels, they are too back.
Now they give nice tractor look. One option would be removing grille as back
as its bossible (even make a hole for gear box come trought of it)

I think on a traction 7 or 11, the position of the wheels is ok.... It's not like a 2cv cause here the gear box is in the front!

Another great drawing Bart, very nice job! One of the most beautiful things about an original Faux cabriolet are the doors, they fit the design of the whole rear end. Straight doors wouldn't be a problem in a roadster though, logic. Wink The roof is not the biggest horror on the second picture, but there's way too much metal in the first one. Shortening a car and making the roof and backside is not easy, why not work some extra months for two doors? Wink You'll go from cheap chop to first class in no time! Cool

Look at Barts scetsh and see that grille is still coming too front to look excelent.
If you look good looking traditional rods you can see that front wheels are
guite some more front than grille.
