Hey Etienne, have you got any more photo's of this van especially the steering mechanism.
When you came to my Home do you remember the shortened 2cv chassis i had on the driveway??
I shortened it to build a replica of this very van but have not seen any photo's other than the black and white shots of the prototype which i guess this probably is???
It would look way cool as a hoodride with a rack on the roof or a surf board strapped to the side, with the van painted with old skool surf shop design and colours . _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Hey Tony!
Yeah of course, I posted these pics because I remember of your blue prints! A replica as you describe it would be hyper cool!
These are not my pics, they have been taken at "Retromobile" it is now in Paris. I have no more pics, but soon as I find some other I'll post them here!
And this is the one of the Citroën conservatoire! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Great. Any more photo's of this would be fantastic. What i'm interested in is how they managed to get the steering to work considering that the driver is sitting in front of the engine so the normal steering column should be stuck up the drivers arse (so to speak), perhaps thats the answer
Seriously though if ANYONE has more shots of this van please post them .
THANKS - Tony. _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

wow, it's cool. But I hadn't dreamed that there would be anything slower than a HY van. This is it! Officially the slowest van ever. Would be scary drive though, sitting high up in a high body, on top of the engine and way out in front of a 2cv chassis with soft springs.

I'd really like to have it the way it is, the engine with the very first type manifold is just great! Very interesting vehicle. |

Apparently it belongs to "les Amis du Type H"... not the Conservatoire ??
if that is the case, it should be possible to contact them to get more pictures. If anything you're more likely to get a reply from them than from the conservatoire.

Daniel on this photo gives you an idea of the size of the van. He measures about 1m85... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

I guess they just hired it from the Conservatoire. A few years ago a Belgian club had the CX prototype (Projet L) on an exposition in Antwerp.
It's great that they didn't really change the prototype when they took the H in production, practically they juist made it bigger and kept most of it's original design. And fitted the back wings on the AU in '51 ... Edit: cool, the left wing goes to the front in one piece. |

that van already looks like a custom. it's low, has faded grey paint, shiny black GS-lookalike wheels... |

No, it is a 475cm3 engine.
I told them that it should come from a 2cv prototype, because Citroen tested 375,457 and 575cm3 engines, before choosing the 375cm3.
They were agreeing with me.
I think thaht the reason is: why machinig some new parts, when you've got it.
I'ld like to see one prepared tiny H, it will be just great! _________________ Always trying to gets more power on my AZLP, fortunately the fuel has been cheaper for one month. |
