Hi all!

I have put together this 2CV from some spare parts, and desided to go for a fendeless style.... (see avatar)

But problem is, if I ever are gonna get licenseplates on it, I must have som kind of fenders on it. I saw one car on the worrldmeeting in sweeden that had tha perfekt fenders....black plastic that followed the wheel closely. Anyone got an idea how to obtain these fenders? Or got any others ideas?

The one of Osky?

I don't understand the problem?
You go to the technic control with regular fenders. They give you the plate and then you let your fenders at home...

But anyway... fenders of the 2CV are maybe the most beautiful parts of the car, and also the most "old style" parts of it. So I think it's quite a shame to move them away! Very Happy

Have no idea who's car it was, but it was brown with black fenders in front. No fenders at rear. And channeled by the way Wink

Yes, I can go to the control with the fenders, but as soon as I remove them I will get pulled over. The Police in Norway is a pain in the old ass.
Just thougt I would give this leagal stuff a try.....

And yes, the fenders of the 2CV is great, but I already have 2CV's with fenders. This last one I wantet something different. It's put together of two wrecks, so I had nothing too loose. If you get my drift Wink

Yes this is the Osky's 2CV (he comes sometimes on this forum).

For sure the better looking fenderless 2 CV I've seen!
The channelling is 4,5cm.
Didi you notice than the bodyshell is narrowed in the front at the floors?

Buy mud gaurds 'fenders' for a trailer from any towing suplies shop and mount them on the top of the steering arm with some 12mm solid steel bar/ Job done.

Some old cars has sparetire on boot cover or in fender. there can be,
nice shape to cut for fenders. also for 2cv some motorcycle fenders
can go well.

fender from harley could work nice, because they normally have 16" rear wheels.

you could get these ones - from Burton and chop them down to size! I think that you can get the struts for them also - if I remember it correctly thea are mounted on the swingarm directly so when the wheel goes up so does the fender!

Hehe....I can, but then just in the countryside when I think Mr.policeman is home watching Police Academy 5 on TV.

I just left it fenderless. The point wasn't that I think fenderless is so good looking, just that nobody else here have done that because of the law/police so it can not be driven on the roads. And thought if I could make som fenders fit, it was possible to register it. But now I think I will do something else with the car, and will probably put on stock fenders.

I have a different 2CV for daily driving, so this one is just for fun. Without liscenseplates Wink
