yap, Olli is the "guilty one" - we've met at one of my club's meetings here in Zagreb than I've got interested in his cars, bikes...bla bla and few days ago I’ve surfed up the Snail forum...

the story for me started before I was born...with a red '74 2CV made in Slovenia (I'm from Croatia btw)...

..at the moment we (my girlfriend and I) have 3 cars - the same one '74 2CV (well the chassis is that one, the body is '87 charleston with closed 3rd window, now painted light blue), (sorry some were taken by mobile phone Wink

one '72 Ami8 (Ana's car),

we took it for about 50 Euro in this shape..

than a new angine and a bit of dark blue paint (for covering up the rust) made it pass the registration test..

and last winter we painted it and gave it a new interior

and a 2003 C3..

...this sommer we've done a great big rute over the Europe to end up in Borlange (where we've met again some familiar faces Wink

there was a bit of a gas suply problems along the way but I managed to sort it out..

waiting in the looong line to get to the Borlange airport we took a picture of a gay with a cool bike (do I have to mention that we also love and ride cruiser and chopper bicycles)

Later, I’ve got the chance for a test that ride of that beast Wink it’s smooth

well...that's about it for now - we have some plans for the future..but you'll see 'em when the time comes... at the end, this is Ana (with Miffy the dog)

..and this is me (also with Miffy the dog)

Could be a typing mistake, but "a" and "u" are far apart on the keyboard

yes, in fact, friend bought it for about 25 and he had to spend 25 more to have it towed to Zagreb form a near by town - it was in garage for 13 years and guy that was sellin it got it from his grandfather, than tried to rebuildt the engine, but couldn't do it and left it like that - for 13 years - than he got himself a new Volvo and wanted to clear the garage so hi sold the car for whatever he could get for it - this friend of mine offered him a 25 Euros and tow it away hehehe...than he decided that he doesn't have the time for deling with restauration and he soldit to me - for the cost of the car and the towing service. unfortunatly there probably no chance for something like that to hit me again Sad

btw his grandad was the first owner - bought it back in '72 in France (althought he could have one here made by Cimos (CItroen / ToMOS).

this weekend was finally some action in my fathers garage (about 150km from Zagreb - where I live...)

during the winter I've bought a pair of oldstyle turning light - that go on the side of the body and when I got 'em I realised that they have two (instead of 1) wires ond the grond conection ofcourse....so I've conected it to the position light and the turning light and I've also placed in a pair of 20w/5w lightbulbs so hera are the pictures:

everything off

just position light on

ant the light and the signal on!

btw does someone know the origin of these lights - are they original? shold they be in red white combination? have I put everything together in the wright way? one of them had broken leftovers of a 12w/4w 6V lightbulb inside ?!?!?

I don't know if the orange turnlights are standard on a 2cv. They're often build on the AK or the Mehari. On most 2cv's they build the red/white ones. The frame is the same, so you can change the glasses in 1 minute. Wink
