There's a new guest in the factory building where I have my workshop. My hands are aching to hotrod it.

I think it's better to let it like that make a crappy hot rod with it.... I mean it's bad looking pick up.

I agree whit etienne. Citroen is not really good hotrod model, you need really good idea, eye (taste) and lotsa modifications to make it work.

Maybe a C6 from 1932/33 could make a good hot rod, but this is really rare and expensive car.

It was modified during the war from a Berline. You couldn;t get petrol those days unless you had a "utility" vehicle, that's why they sawed off the body and made it into a pickup.

I think this is great rod material! It was modelled on the Fords of that time and looks a lot like them. Andre even went to the US Ford plant in Dearborn and talked with Henry about building Fords in Europe.

This one is too special though to chop up. even I will admit that. But if I ever find one I can afford, watch out!

Oh well, moving on to the DDR section of the hall, we have two Bantam rolling chassis, with 2 cabs and lots of body panels and a Diesel tractor (the green one).

Slowly, our hall is filling up with interesting projects. Other projects are:

-2 Unimog trucks
-A Lada Niva
-2CV, HY and two GS's
-An ex-police german vw transporter (type3)
-Two fire trucks (both Mercs) Blerk!
-Several Benz trucks Ugh!
-4 Opels WRONG!
-A Renault Estafette
-Several Frankenstein mopeds and motorcycles. Put together from dead machines.

Hey Kustombart,

a C4 pick-up truck can be found in NL for around € 4000,-- and maybe even less (complete restorable condition). I've been looking for one too, because m father has a 1932 C4F berline. and if you're prepaired to go to france and get one, you'll probably pay less!

greetzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The past few months I've seen some C4's for around 800/1000 euros on the Ebay. And most of them even were never sold ...

That's good nose! I have never even considered these cars because I thought they were too expensive. When I finish my Tatra, the hunt will begin!

New arrival today:

Ford ambulance 1954 with flathead V8. It runs so smooth you only hear the fuel pump and a little burble from the exhaust.

I'll take one tomorrow. I will also attempt to record the sound. It gives me the chills! Apart from paint, this car is in good shape, too.

I would like to post a picture here from a car I loved from the 80's. It doesn't fit in the Traction Hotrod topic. But just to show that the pickup I showed at the start of this topic could look very good.
