yeah, if you:
-channel your 2cv
-want it low
-you want to keep some sort of suspension
you need:
a: 15" wheels and raised fenders (need to make well to get good look)
b: 13" wheels and standard fenders
and what comes on my photoshop you cant really say about it how it looks,
cos it is just fast chop. In Stefans topic you can see what 13" wheel really
looks like in 2cv. And, yes 2cv fender is designed for 15" wheel... when
car is in normal height.

Hi !!
your photoshop with channeling is very nice,
the look with 13' wheels is good, but I prefer use 15' ... I think that 13' is too shorter for the motorway
Olli, what sort of paint have you used for the red ?? _________________ -Thierry- |

It's OK
But look on VW bug
in 15" it's loooks very good with a short train in original fenders
but I know the same think is impossible on our car
How will you dou for your motor ??
GS is to big and it can't stay under your long cap |

VW beetles fenders are really bigger! There is more space in them!
Beetle is a high class car with good details if you compare it to the 2cv... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

It's true
But, Many things in beetle can be adapted for 2CV style
numbers of thing in the line are lighter like the joints of doors interior and not indicators the simple panes
But I'm sure if we work a lot, we can make cool cars of high class too |

I never said beetle was better than 2CV, just they are really different car, not for the same kind of buyers (in the past).
2 CV was really a car for farmer, beetle was more for citizen. Different kind of needs. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

very true, 2cv is more of a tool, it has function over form, beetle is all about form over function, plus its probably the worst handling car ive ever had the misfortune to be at the wheel of, i cant understand how they are so popular and 2cv isnt in comparison, 2cv is much more innovative and far more comfortable to drive, plus it goes round corners.
And dont get me started on Buses....... _________________

yeah really cool project!
But for the debate about 13" wheels (I find it a bit small too) can it be possible to use 14" wheels to reduce the difference compared with the original whells? Yes I know it's not so low or it need some work to modify the fenders but it could be a compromise _________________ camille |

and dont buy those "clip on" versions they look cheap. Only way to go are
these original bolt on types. Ofcouse you need to make 3holes and treads
on your rims but it sure is worth it.
