No Jozef that isn't , but by the time you placed the advert it was already put back together again. I based it on the ecas price...
If this one fails, which I don't expect, I'll build up a 2cv6 block and only use the heads of the M4 engine. That way I'll have more modern stuff, better availibility of spare parts and and oil filter. _________________ I love girls, cars and football. |

Thanks, with a bit of luck this is the czech car, yes.
And as you know I have been busy, but not so much with this thing. The engine took the whole autum.... and the modified exhaust was done in less than two days after Christmas. _________________ I love girls, cars and football. |

I have done some more work in the meanwhile, so it really looks like a car now.
I had to lower it last weekend and make some pictures...
For the rest I have temperarely put the engine in place and offset the brake and clutch bracket to suit with the engine and exhaust. Because the pot for the brakefluid is really close to the exhaust I will move that to the bulkhead later. Moreover I will insulate the exhaustpipes with heattape so they affect the brakes less.
Anybody got experiance with heat tape? How well does it insulate the exhaust pipe/ keep the heat in???
Also put the altenator on, made a support bracket and modified a AZ 18bhp headlightbar to suit my setup.
With the wings on. I didn't need to modify the innerwings jet. I only fitted them slightly wider and made more space with some "gentel" benging. As you cab see on the first picture it all fits nicely (just) under the bonnet.

We've used insulation tape on our pickup.
It helps a bit to keep the enginecompartment not to heat up to much.
It's better then no insulation, to our experience.

If you want a good heatshield, make one, its very simple, just weld some nuts on the exhaust, bend some sheetmetal round and attach it to the nuts. You can use the tape between the exhaust and sheetmetal to give even better heat reduction.
If you want to keep heat in the pipes, RVS and tape are good. _________________ 2CV, with Visa turbo charged |

Thanks for all nice reactions and tips guys! I'm not too worried about the exhaust, but just want te keep as much heat away from the brakes... That heat shield tip may be a good idea, although I can not do that everywhere, because as you probably can see the exhaust is very close ~1cm to the drums at some places. _________________ I love girls, cars and football.

I doubt it will heat the drums over what exhaust wrap can deal with.

I have exhaust going like this since 1984 and few hundred thousand kilometers after that... No tapes and no problems.

That is why I planned to move the fluid pot to the bulkhead away from the exhaust.
However looking at Olli's picture, it may not be neccesairy as his is really close as well. _________________ I love girls, cars and football. |

Hi all,
long time no message, but I did make some progress, not much as I also moved home and had other things to worry about.
Anyway I got some steps closer to the end.
What i did, pictures will come but haven't got them right here & now.
- Modified brake and clutch paddel holder to fit exhaust, steering and arms.
- fitted and adjusted completely new brakes, including a moved away brakefluid reservoir.
- Cleaned all and painted some parts of the engine and everything around it, so it looks nice and clean.
- Painted more parts
- Fitted fuel tank and system
and probably some more, can't rememver right now.
When will it be finished??? don't know I hope soon, sometime this winter to take it to some meetings next year, but I'll see.

Oh yes, I almost forgot about it. I found a second one off these nice/classic/oldtimer tyres! So I now have two to put on the front.
I'll use these for show purpuseonly and get 135x400 for road use, as I don't expect them to handel particurly well, which could work out disastrous considering me way of driving.
