Hello,

I'am Pimslet, pronounce "pinc'les" for the french ones.
As you can see, I live next to Jozef, around 10km.

Today, I'am driving an AZLP, with the engine a little tune, my projet is to have 21hp, so driving at 103Km/h like with the 21Hp stock 425, by using the stock inlet-exhaust collector, while the speed of the stock engine is 85km/h. I have solution, to attend my goal.

I'am also thinking about a new 2cv that I'll built, after I get my diploma, on which I'll put my prepared VISA engine Doutard ULM, 750cm3, 60hp. I would also like to add hydropneumatic, four wheel drive, full protecting cage...

I've listed some innovations, but on which w'll be very quiet, just to have a big surprise effect.

So that is why I registered, because I prefer to have strait responses, than turning round.

Don't mind, telling me if my english is not very good.

Pimslet

Thanks,

I just want to have a car which is easier to use, able to be used easily in current day driving, with the others vehicles.

But, the performance of such an engine depend of the day, so to the climate.

My grand mother told me that one day she drove the 110km/h with the car and 4 persons in without wind. I normal conditions it correspond to more than 25hp, about two times the original power.

A friend told me the same with his AZ.

For the moment, i have a bigger carburator than the original, a good ignition, silicon wire, new ducelier point and iridium spark plug (work better, easier to start the engine), but i feel that 6 for the thermic level on NGK is a little low.

And to feed the engine, K&N air filter and the bottom of a tin can to cover it (i had the choice, K&N or original cartridge, very difficult to find).

What, i willdo, is to stop recycling blow by gas, modify the exhaust (Thanks for Jozef), run with 98 fuel ( The price of the fuel is enormous, but the difference between 95 and 98 very low) and add ignition advance, may be 3 or 4 degrees.

Hello,

I would like, but currently, i'm student, and i'll made my end study application from February to August, i'll be at Magny Court, so i think, i'won't be able to come back to St jean d'Angely.

Don't be ashamed by your French, it is a difficult language, for myself, i've mot understood some grammar rules, i'm not able to reconize an adverb, only once which finished by "ment". And i alway use the verb "vendre", to know if have to put "é", "ez" or "er" at the end of a verb.

hello,

i've not the engine for the moment. But i'll hope that i'll carry it back for christmas.

At the origine, this engine was prepared for Ul ultra ligth planes.

so modification.
Lighted, balanced, polished crankshaft.
better maintain of the crankshaft bearing

750cm3 piston barrel kit, nickasil treated, custom pistons, with porsche quality sealing.

Special camshaft, made by the SODEMO in France.

Modification of the cylinder heads, shortened valves guides, increased diamèter of the inlet.

welded tubes to move the oil radiator

Two motorcycle bing carburators with trumpets and custom manifliods.

custom exhaust.

highly lighten fly wheel, because the propeller gives the inertia.

Today, some are still using this engine, there is a new camshaft.
New 800cm3 piston barrel kit.
These parts are still avaliables.
These are reliable preparations, but expencive.

If a minimun numbers of person are interested the price can be lower.

As the SODEMO is at Magny court, i'll ask them for the camshaft.

I also have to phone to M Dumetier, to have more information about the parts, their price, what we can rebuilt.

When the designer of the engine was alive, these was turbo version, with injection and carburators, about 90-100HP.

After the Visa electronic ignition, the engine was machines to put 2cv mecanical ignition, better working.

The engine have been tested on Citroen's engine bench.

I hope that i'll give you some pics.

But i don't want to get off cylendres, if it is not necessary, because nickasil honing is expensive and rareful.

That's why i'll need to test compressions ans blow by rate.

hey
soons very interesting. But indeed it will depend on the price of the materials.
I'm also for using new cilinders because off the nikasil. I think around 60 hp will by good. With the 800cc it will be a littel stronger and have more NM.

Sow I'm interested. I sow the engines on ulms but never found more information off where I can get the parts.

greets robin

So, normaly i slould phone to the guy who makes the parts built.

But, my phone note is alway over.

Here is the link in France:www.air-plaisir.com

There isn't a lot of thing on the web site, the better is to send an email.

You says that is Romain RENAUD who told you to write. You says that i am a student engineer who want to built a 2cv with Doutard ULM.

But, he told me that he was not very good in english.
If you want, send me a mail, and i'll ask for you.

Today, he is using a camshaft designed to have lots of torke, not lots of power. He has got around 56HP with his 800cm3.
