and the first thing they would do if they would catch me is to check if alle lights are ok. because this is the only thing they know about 2cvs. :)

it's also a big insurance problem. if someone crashes my car, and the oppenent estimator ( schadens gutachter ) notices that my car does not a have a legal operating license ( that happens if i put light without e-sign on my car ), noone will pay for the damage !

That sucks !
I talked this morning with a motorbiker and told me the same story actually about this "e" thing !

And if you have papers of a 2 CV from the 1950's, do you also need this "e" ? Cause as Joseph said, in the past this didn't exist !

off course, if you have old papers there is no need for that e-sign !!
but you have to proof that the light you put on your car had an authorization on 1950 !

if my car is from 1987 i have to follow the laws from 1987 !

and compared to the laws now, 87 is a really good age !!

The "E" story seems to be every where the same.
In Belgium the control says that you may not change anything.
But since 3 or 4 yours we've got a "tuning-card".

On the card you've got 3 categories:
From little things like a grill, interiorstuff etc.. to serieus things like a rollcage.
Everything what you can possibly change is listed and if you've changed it, they mark it on their list.

We may change a bit, but nothingwhat may influid the safety or motorpower.
On that isseu the car has to be original.

Why did they create the card?
Because there are a lot of people that after they passed the control, they just rebuild their car completly.
Every year again.
And now the police can control that by looking at the "tuning-card".

And I've heared that the EU wants to make the technical controls the same in every country around 2010 of 2012.
So if it's going to be easyer or difficould, I don't know.
If it's treu that what I've heared.

But what I do know is that on the technical control, everybody is doing difficould and there are a huge bunge of morrons. Cool

It's looking good bjorn.
Are you going to paint the rest in the same color or are you going back to your grey?
