Wouaw ! cool !
Thanks for these pictures !

In Argentina they've made some very interesting cars. The one with the fiat engine is really amazing ! Is it a personal modification or is it made by IES and adapted like some AKA 400 using a peugeot engine ? Sometimes it seems that cars there have a parallel life. The IES (2CV) for example looks like a 2 CV in some other life !

MacPherson struts with reinforcement bars welded to the firwall? It's a Mehari, Jim, but not as we know it...

I think there is one blurry video on youtube of that blue Mehari. I already wondered why it was so fast Very Happy The last picture of that red Mehari is great! Does anyone have an idea what the top was taken from? The closest I can think of is the Simca Aronde.

Are these different than regular Meharis? Normal is made out of ABS plastic.

I did have 1972 Méhari for couple years.

fibre glass isn't heavy, but the Mehari Argentina made(590 kg), is really heavier than a French mehari!

All Mehari in Argentina are made in fiber glass, the body where made in Uruguay but there were no means to manufacture such large body in ABS plastic so they did it in Fiber Glass.
The Fiat 128 is very popular here, and is not very rare to see Mehari´s with 128 engine
