Ach, My renault 8 was that colour, but i can't remember the reference...

Look at the colour catalogs, and try to find a slightly brown dark red. Can't help you much more, the choice is yours.

Add a bit of matting agent in the paint (so that it's not "burn your eyes out" shiny and away you go !

Bye

Yeah right, to make a car function it means to have shock absorbers. I drove once without them. And believe me it is not an useless accessory ! Better drive a Xantia with shock absorber thant a 2CV with no shock absorber !

Hy!
I have my turnlight in my headlight and there is no problem! The technical control isn't the drire, they just have to control if you light works... that's all.

Nice project, good luck Very Happy

deuchman have you put the turnlights instead of the night lights or have you made another hole?

I've bought my front fenders and I fint them so beautiful with a little rust. I don't know if I should repaint them or keep them like that. I'll normally post pictures tomorrow

Sorry but I'm not often at home that's why I'm so late to reply
Thanks for the photos Etienne but I find it rather dark. But I love the "Peinture satinée" (silk finished paint?)

I think I will paint it "rouge cinabre" like that
http://www.passion-citroen.com/nos_citroen/nuancier/img/ac402.jpg
but not so brilliant
I havn't got a precise idea for my wheels. Iwant to paint it black with white side tyres it looks good but I find it quite classical
Ithink I could make it looks like gasburners (from far!) by painting grey stripes all around
http://www.mdccox.be/images/1_jante_accessoire/_jante/4_trous/2573-5.jpg
Tell me what do you think about it and give me advices

well... I see that my idea doesn't inspire you a lot. Let's forget it. The original colour of my car is "beige albatros", so my roof is beige. I think that beige wheels will can go well with my roof.
thes are my new fenders

sorry for the poor quality
I've begun to paint it (only the inside of the doors at the moment...) pictures soon!

These photos has been taken next to the shed where my snail is (next to my grand mother's house) this is my grand father's former ami 6 estate.

Nice car to start a hoodride project, isn't it? Laughing and it has almost a top shop...
unfortunately as far as I can remember it was in that condition.
If only they had put it in the shed Evil or Very Mad

I think if you paint it with Citroën color it will look to regular, and red is often about 80's 2cv... So it won't look enough old style... no?

About copy of gasburner, I don't think it gonna work. It's better to make nice paint on regular wheel, than bad copy of alloy wheels... You know what I mean?

I don't like bright wheels. I think it looks better with dark colors, even if the roof is beige...

my car is on wheels I've justfew stuff to fix before getting the MOT I'll try to find time to take and post pictures tomorow Ifind it pretty cool but it hasn't been lowered yet. My father is going to make shock absorbers adapters (but Idon't know when) Anyway I'm wondering if I'll have to fit acadiane's "embouts de tirant"(in french sorry)

With acadiane tie rods, it will be too low for regular springs and front arm (bad steering).
So my advice is to let regular tie rod, just 1,5cm screwed.
Try this and see how it works... I did and I think it wasn't good with the longer tie rod. As long as I have regular spring and front arms, my car won't be lower than just hoy I explained!

Any pic of your car now?
