Hey Robin,

I know of a company who fit Dellorto's to a standard 602 engine. Maybe they can give you some advice. I think they got 45 hp from only changing the carbs.

Hello,

Yes 45hp is the power your can expect on a 602 with a 40 DCOE rejetted, venturi changed and special inlet.

They also have equipment to measure power and torque. They can refit your carburettor jets perfectly. Only fitting different jets can improve power by as much as 4 hp, especially on late 70's and 80 cars.

yes,

Rejetting improves the power up to 10% face to a R=1 mixture, by a richer mixture and more ignition advance, because richer mixture is less sensible to clickety.

I understand what you mean but only after some thought Wink It's just a fact that in the 70s and 80s, carburettors were adjusted for low emissions and low fuel consumption and not high power. This you can change back easily.
